Chapter II: Every Journey has a guide, mine has a sick beard.
So the big thing today was NSE Orientation. I finally got to meet the NSE guy who I have been storming with questions over email for the past couple months. He is wayyyy chill and has the gnarliest beard. It was legit.
I also got to meet all the other NSE participants. Turns out there are like 10 NSE students and I’m the only guy. Random! But whatevs. The peeps I started talkin to over lunch and on our lil tour all seem wayyyy cool. We are already planning to chill and storm UGA together. Be jealous of our NSE Gang.
After Orientation I hit up all my classes and figured out where the heck i’m going. All my classes are super close to each other and there is a nice bus stop at both of my first classes, so I can roll outta bed, onto the shuttle and get dropped off outside my class. Score. I also took some pics as I was walking around. I made the mistake of having a backpack and pants, add in humidity and it was hot. So I didnt wanna explore all over and take pics, so I just took what I saw on my around my classes. Its obvious that columns catch my eye. hahah Better pics to come!

Peabody Hall
The library on campus. Undergoing some renovations tho…bogus.
Robert Park Hall (No relation to John R. Park…or maybe…?)
I also snapped some pics of the Tate Student Center which is the student Union on campus. LOTS of cool art work in there, these are some of my favs. There is also a reallly cool one by the restrooms but didnt wanna be a creeper takin pics of ppl walkin out of the restrooms haha

I got home, knocked out for a bit after watchin the U.S. game and some ESPN online-that’ll keep me from going insane. Then I hit up some dinner at Village Summit for the first time. It was pretty good. The food was good-chicken wings and fries was my choice tonight. The best part was I met 3 locals that are wayyy chill. They even hit me up on facebook before I got back to my dorm. Thats how nice they were! Southern Hospitality at its best. For sure gonna hit up those guys to chill and what not. Got back to my room and met my 3rd and final roommate. He is a fella from England and way chill.
I knew being an OL for 3 years would help me make the transition and I think it showed today with meeting ppl and feeling comfortable enough to navigate campus. After Orientation I felt soooo stoked on life and just ready for it all to hit me. I always have and always will love orientations.
I miss hanging out with my friends.
I’ve learned Southern Hospitality isn’t just a song by Ludacris.
